Serve this warm as an appetizer with a good dollop of the spiced yogurt on top of each slice. Quick and easy way to create a pate or a fancy version of meatloaf.

  • 1 lb ground lamb shoulder
  • 2 T grated onion
  • 1 T pressed garlic with a pinch of salt
  • 1t ground cumin
  • 1 t ground coriander
  • 1/4 t cayenne
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 c chopped mint
  • 1/2 c chopped parsley

Spiced Yogurt

  • 1 c plain thick greek yogurt
  • 2 T mint
  • 1 t tumeric
  • 1 t paprika
  • 1/2 t cumin
  • 1/4 t cayenne
  • 2 t lemon juice
  • salt

Mix all ingredients together with the lamb and combine thoroughly.  Place in a small 3 x 2 loaf pan and bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or internal temp of about 140. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes as it continues to cook and set.  Remove from pan and slice about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with left over chopped mint/parsley and serve warm with spiced yogurt.
